Kino Kabaret is our annual event where we hire a space for a whole weekend for filmmakers to create as many films as possible. Whether you’re a director, writer, actor, DOP, editor, composer or anyone who wants to be involved on a film set, this 48-72 hour challenge enables you to to create as many films as possible in a short period of time. Kino Kabaret is a great opportunity to meet other filmmakers and make films in a fun and dynamic environment, build your portfolio, and test out ideas. Often finding a location, let alone a crew can be hard, especially on a limited budget, so Kino Kabaret helps filmmakers create simple ideas at least, that can be executed over a weekend. Kino Sydney is one of many Kino chapters around the world that hold an annual Kino Kabaret event and we strongly encourage you to travel as it’s a great one to have fun, create, and meet like-minded people.
