Kino Sydney Kabaret 2020

 

Kino Kabaret is back!!! It’s intense. It’s fun. And it’s the best way to dive into short filmmaking.

What is it?

The aim of Kabaret is to make as many short films as possible in 48 hours. It is an annual event undertaken by most Kino chapters worldwide. Whether you are a novice or a professional, there is something for everyone at a Kabaret. 

When is it?

December 4 – 7. The schedule for Kino Sydney Kabaret 2020 is about allowing those involved to get comfy with each other before diving into the creative maelstrom that will ensue. To that end, the schedule goes like this:

MEET

Friday Dec 4th, 6:30pm – 9:00pm

@ Salisbury Hotel, 118 Percival Rd, Stanmore

Meet up for a pre-production meeting and a speed networking session. You can form into teams and studio time will be allocated for the weekend. 

SHOOT

Saturday Dec 5,  8am – 8pm
@ Sydney Props Specialists.
16 Carrington Road, Marrickville

Shoot. Shoot. Shoot. Maybe edit. Definitely collaborate. 

EDIT

Sunday Dec 6, 8am – 9pm

@ Shooting Birds Studio.

Studio 26, 20-28 Carrringtion Rd, Marrickville  (literally next door to Sydney Props!)

Possibly shoot, but most likely edit. Films must be submitted by 9pm!

SCREEN

Monday Dec 7, 6:30pm – 9:30pm

@SUNSTUDIOS

42 Maddox Street, Alexandria

Everyone are to be dressed in their most glamorous frocks and dapper suits for the soiree and screening. 

How Much?

Directors, Cast & Crew – $60. This covers studio, some gear hire and entry to the screening. (If you can’t make the screening, we will refund you $10)

GEAR INCLUDED

  • Canon camera’s
  • Audio Recorder, Shotgun Mic, Boom and Headphones
  • Tripods and Lighting Equipment

This is a Haiku film. It’s made up of 3 shots – 5 seconds, 7 seconds and 5 seconds (+ 3 seconds of credits).
