Put your Sydney on the big screen with Kino Kabaret 2015.
Kabaret is back for a special one-weekend edition on 4 – 6 December 2015 at Metro Screen. Kabaret is the city’s most collaborative filmmaking challenge and in honour of Metro Screen’s impending departure, we ask filmmakers to consider the theme of “Cinema in Sydney” in their projects.
Join Kino Sydney as we bring filmmakers together to learn new skills, test out professional equipment, make creative contacts, and bounce ideas off each other all while making short films in 48 hours.
The weekend kicks off with a production meeting at 6pm on Friday 4 December at Metro Screen. Metro Screen has partnered with Kino Sydney to host the Kino Lab – a workspace for filmmakers across the weekend and the place to find filmmaking advice and borrow professional equipment.
After slogging it out, from script to screen-ready in only 48 hours, all participants are invited to celebrate at a screening party on Monday 7th December from 6pm at 107 Projects where we will celebrate cinema in Sydney and say goodbye to Metro Screen.
It is only $30 to participate this year. The fee covers access to: access to production meetings and assistance in sourcing talent, equipment and locations; access to the Kino Lab at Metro Screen; access to editing facilities in Metro Screen; access to copyright free music; sugar hits supplied at Kino Lab and free entry to screening party.
Applications are now open and spots are strictly limited. Apply here.
